PRELIMINARY STUDY ON PLASTICINE AS A SUBSTITUTE COHESIVE MATERIAL FOR GEOTECHNICAL PHYSICAL SOIL MODELING

<p>Plasticine is an artificial material made from solids such as gypsum, lime, mixed with petroleum jelly or micro wax and acid fat. The properties of plasticine are likely similar to natural clay influenced by oil content. information about mechanical still very rare, the study on it riquired must be conducted intensively. preliminary laboratory has been understand behaviour plasticines. Microwax based plasticines were utilised variation content, whereas kaolin water content a reference material. focusing stress-strain for both microwax compared clay. This paper reports result investigation regarding use alternative substitution in soil modeling. Some engineering unconfined compression strength (UCS) test hand penetrometer shown. indicates that resembles suitable substitute cohesive potential geotechnical modelling future.</p>
